About Me

My Experience

I am an educationalist who has a deep understanding of schools. I have worked at different levels including secondary, further and higher education.

As a qualified teacher, I have held a number of managerial roles in the Yorkshire region overseeing Citizenship, Personal, Social & Health Education, Careers and Religious Education. In addition, I was involved in a number of innovative teaching projects on the use of technology in the classroom.

As E-Safety manager at Yorkshire Humber Grid For Learning, I developed my understanding of digital safeguarding and data security. During this time I delivered a number of workshops at conferences including the NSPCC, Optimus Education and the NASUWT.

I also held the position of Associate Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University, overseeing the PGCE Citizenship course and delivering lectures for the core professional studies modules and on Teach First.

I have also worked for Rotherham Council and as director of The E-Safety office, I have worked with different bodies including Barnardos, ICT4C and local councils.
